The Institute of Finance and Intelligence Managers is a professional body duly registered in Nigeria in full compliance with the Companies and Allied Matters Act, CAMA, 1990 with RC 1513706. The Board of Directors of the Institute of Finance and Intelligence Managers decided to upgrade the Institute to Chartered-ship.<\/p><p>The Chartered Institute of Finance and Intelligence Managers is a Professional Body duly established in Nigeria under the Chartered \u2013 Ship HB No 713. It is a professional body that ensures that personnel in the finance, business and other sectors have adequate knowledge in finance and intelligence management.<\/p><p>The Chartered Institute of Finance and Intelligence Managers has gained partnership with some international recognized professional bodies such as Institute of Chartered Finance Professionals USA, Chartered Institute of Internal Controllers and Auditors USA, Chartered Institute of Certified Forensic Accountants and Fraud Investigators USA and Chartered Institute of Strategic Business Planning and Analysis USA.<\/p><p>The Chartered Institute of Finance and Intelligence Managers is aware of the important of finance in any organization and it is based on this ground that the Institute has taken it as a task to ensure that personnel who have the responsibility of managing financial and other resources in their organizations are tasks with result-oriented mind set.<\/p><p>The Institute is also aware that some personnel who either make the financial decisions in their organizations or manages the administration and operations of finance in their organizations have failed to see money as an arrow that is shot to hit a target. Even those personnel who knows that finance is an arrow with a target, may not understand the intelligence management aspect of it which involve various phases ranging from the origin phase (inflow), the processing phase (intermediate) and the destination phase (out flow). The risks assessment in each of the phase must be put into consideration.<\/p><p>The Institute is also aware that the inability of businesses or organizations not been able to meet their objective is not totally based on finance but also not integrating intelligence management as part of their organizational concept and philosophy.<\/p><p>It is based on these and more reasons that the Institute is coming on a time when there is a global economic crisis. It is unarguable that \u201cKnowledge is Power,\u201d and standing on it, the institute will use the instrument of knowledge to create a positive economic change on both the employers and
